증상이심하지 않은 안구건조증치료법으로는 따뜻한 수건 찜질과, 눈을 깜빡여주는 연습을 통해 어느 정도 완화시킬 수 있다고 합니다. 다섯 방향(상.하.좌.우.정면)으로 10회씩 50회 정도를 눈을 완전히 감았다 뜨는것으로 2주정도 연습하면 어느 정도 효과를 볼 수 있습니다.
안구건조증 환자들은 특히 다량의 설탕이나 인공조미료, 좋지 않은 지방분의 섭취를 줄이는 것이 좋습니다. 하지만 알레르기성 결막염 등이 같이 있을 경우에는 병행치료를 해주는것이 좋은데요, 가장 흔한 방법으로 사용하는 인공눈물로 증세를 완화시키지만, 증세에 따라 인공눈물만으로는 치료가 되지 않아 고주파 케어, 약물치료, 자가혈청 안약 등이 필요할 수도 있습니다.
